Visibly Safer

Metro offers contractors a safer, wireless, temporary traffic control system that provides high performance and reliability.

Our new temporary traffic signal system is designed for use in complex and critical road work environments, haul route crossings and standalone pedestrian crossings.

Metro Signal makes a statement with its full height signal pole and conspicuous white bases with high visibility red band, that conform to regulatory requirements and improve public and driver perception.

The Metro Signal unit can be configured with a wide range of signal head options, able to cater for the majority of temporary traffic control applications, and pairs with Metro Master or Metro Pro for staged-based signalling operation.

Fast, No Nonsense Deployment

The Metro Signal is quick to deploy, with only 2 components to assemble at the roadside and no cables.

The minimal construction and wireless connectivity mean that Metro can be installed by a small team without full road closures and without the need for specialist equipment. The reliable radio-linked connectivity eliminates the need for overhead or underground cabling, so does not impact on civils work being carried out on site. The absence of overhead cables also means the units are not at risk of being pulled down by tall vehicles or inclement weather.

Designed to Stand Out

Conspicuous, white bases with high visibility red band help the Metro Signal stand out, improving driver and pedestrian perception. The compact size leaves no sharp or low protruding edges that would otherwise pose a risk to partially sighted or disabled road users.

It features adjustable legs for uneven surfaces and double-entry design for easy maintenance and battery access. The base unit accommodates two controller models to allow for different head configurations.

Wide Range of Signal Head Possibilities

Metro supports a wide range of signal head combinations, allowing for all manner of traffic and pedestrian movements. Signal heads can be fitted with hoods and louvres as required, and there is also the option for Regulatory, Indicative and Substitute arrow support.

Metro Signal head configuration is determined at the design stage and pre-built prior to deployment. The signal head and pole is of Full Regulation design and conforms to BS EN12368 and TSRGD Diagram 3000 and features our ultra-low power signal aspects designed and customised for our use by AGD Systems.

Dedicated Signal Controller

The Metro Signal features a dedicated signal controller for diagnostics and signal/battery monitoring, it is to be combined with the Metro Master or Metro Pro controller unit, depending on the scale of the application.

ACM

Reliable Comms

Metro is a fully wireless system featuring Active Channel Management, our patented radio solution designed to overcome issues related to signal comms failures.

Our ACM technology has been paired with a high performance whip antenna, providing robust comms in even the most challenging urban environments.

Metro has been proven in various city locations, including Manchester, Edinburgh and London.
