All systems go for BUKO with record TGS signal order

Traffic Group Signals (TGS) is celebrating the largest signal order in its history, supporting BUKO Traffic & Safety’s (BUKO) continued growth across the UK.

The landmark order includes more than 300 new Evo1 pedestrian and traffic signals, alongside a substantial upgrade programme covering 260 existing signals with Evo ACM technology.

The fleet upgrade will extend the service life of BUKO’s existing assets, improve operational performance and reduce waste. It will also give the fleet a consistent, modern appearance that strengthens BUKO’s growing brand presence.

As part of the investment, BUKO will be onboarded to TMdesk, TGS’s cloud-based signal management platform. TMdesk will give its teams greater visibility and control over their signal fleet, supporting asset management, operational monitoring and maintenance planning.

BUKO’s new Evo1 fleet will support complex urban and UTC-connected schemes across London and other built-up areas. Meanwhile, the upgraded Evo ACM signals will provide a robust and reliable solution for utilities work and less complex multiphase schemes across the rest of the UK.

The investment follows a period of significant expansion for BUKO, which has increased its UK footprint through a series of acquisitions. The new and upgraded signals will support the company’s growing network of depots across London and the rest of the UK.

Tom Miles, Commercial Director at Traffic Group Signals, said:

“We would like to thank BUKO for this significant investment and for its continued trust in Traffic Group Signals. This record order represents an exciting milestone for both businesses, and we look forward to supporting BUKO’s future growth and working in partnership for many years to come.”

Mark Gallimore, Managing Director at BUKO Traffic & Safety, adds:

“This investment directly strengthens how we operate day to day. Our new Evo1 signals and upgraded Evo ACM units keep our operations running reliably. Bringing our fleet onto TMdesk gives us clear visibility over every asset – our teams can plan maintenance, monitor performance and respond faster. That translates directly into fewer disruptions on site and a more consistent, dependable service for our clients. As BUKO continues to grow across the UK, this investment ensures our operations scale with us, keeping our fleet modern, efficient and built around what our customers need.
