Farewell to The RadioConnect2: A Proven Solution Since 2018

At Traffic Group Signals, we are dedicated to delivering cutting-edge technology to enhance the safety, sustainability, and efficiency of streetworks. To ensure we are providing the best possible products, we periodically refine our product range and support services.

As part of this commitment, we’re writing to inform you that we have taken the decision to end the RadioConnect2 Standard product line.

Since its introduction in 2018, the groundbreaking RadioConnect2 Standard has played a key role in supporting safe and efficient street works across the UK. Sadly, with technology advancing demand for the RC2 has slowly declined in favour of our Evo ACM product range and other signal offerings.

The final date to place orders for the RadioConnect2 Standard is 31/01/26,  subject to limited component availability.

RC2 Tripod still available

We are pleased to continue to offer the best-in-class RC2 tripod, a lightweight signal offering that can be used in combination with the RadioConnect2 standard.

The RC2 tripod variant is not subject to last-time buy conditions and will be manufactured at Pike Works.

Transition to Pike Works

Due to an unsustainable combination of rising manufacturing and facility costs, along with a gradual decline in demand for the product, we will be ending production at our dedicated facility in Bourton-on-the-Water.

To ensure we can fulfil all last-time buy requests for the standard RadioConnect2 signal, manufacturing will be transferred to our Pike Works factory in Birmingham.

Customer Impact and Support

  • Last-Time Buys (Standard Variant): The final order date for the standard RadioConnect2 is 31/01/2026.*
  • Warranty Commitment: All RadioConnect2 units will be supported for the full duration of their 3-year warranty period.*
  • Extended Support: Beyond the warranty period, we will continue to support RadioConnect2 products for as long as component availability allows. Our aim is to provide continuity and minimise disruption to your operations.
  • Transition Planning: If you are considering upgrades or replacements, our team is available to help you explore suitable alternatives—such as our Evo ACM and Evo1 product lines. Both offer many of the advanced technologies found in RadioConnect2, including Active Channel Management, AutoGreen, and excellent runtime performance.

*Subject to limited component availability

We understand that changes like this can be disruptive, and we are committed to supporting you every step of the way.

If you have any questions or would like to discuss your options, please contact your commercial manager or by giving us a call on 0345 460 9999 or by emailing [email protected].
